Native to Southeast Asia, particularly found in countries like Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia, Rasboras are commonly found in streams, rivers, and floodplains, where they often swim in large schools.

To care for Rasboras, it’s essential to provide a well-maintained aquarium that mimics their natural habitat. They thrive in slightly acidic to neutral water with a pH range of 6.0 to 7.5 and a temperature between 72°F to 80°F (22°C to 27°C). Maintaining good water quality through regular changes and adequate filtration is crucial, as Rasboras are sensitive to pollutants.

Rasboras are omnivorous and benefit from a varied diet that includes high-quality flake food, small pellets, and live or frozen foods like brine shrimp and daphnia. This diverse diet not only promotes their health but also enhances their natural coloration.
