The Bumblebee Goby, scientifically known as Brachygobius xanthozonus, is a small and charming freshwater fish that is popular among aquarists for its unique appearance and peaceful demeanor. Native to the brackish waters of Southeast Asia, particularly in regions like Thailand and Malaysia, the Bumblebee Goby is well-known for its striking coloration, featuring bold yellow and black stripes that resemble a bumblebee, which gives it its name.

To properly care for Bumblebee Gobies, it is essential to provide a brackish water environment. They thrive in water with a specific gravity of around 1.005 to 1.010, which can be achieved by mixing aquarium salt with freshwater.
