The Crested Puffer is a stunning and rare freshwater pufferfish known for its striking appearance and unique behavior. High-quality live or frozen foods such as bloodworms, brine shrimp, snails, and daphnia are essential for their health. Snails are especially important, as they help to naturally wear down the puffer’s continuously growing teeth. Regular feedings of hard-shelled prey are critical to prevent overgrowth, which can lead to health issues.

With proper care and a suitable environment, the Crested Puffer can live for 4 to 6 years in captivity.
