Diet-wise, Kumonryu koi are omnivores and enjoy a balanced diet of high-quality koi pellets, flakes, and occasional live or frozen foods, such as brine shrimp, bloodworms, and daphnia. They may also graze on algae and aquatic plants in the pond, which helps keep the pond ecosystem in balance. However, overfeeding should be avoided, as excess food can lead to poor water quality.
